As City officials continue to monitor local and statewide weather conditions, it has been decided to also reschedule all Covid-19 vaccine appointments at the Alamodome for Thursday, February 18 to Monday, February 22 at the same appointment times.
Appointments for Monday, February 15 were rescheduled to take place on Friday, February 19; appointments for Tuesday, February 16 have been rescheduled for Saturday, February 20; and appointments for Wednesday, February 17 have been rescheduled for Sunday, February 21.
The City would like to ensure the safety of the public, a spokesperson said Wednesday via an emailed statement.
“We also want to remind the public who may be concerned about the small delay for their second dose, that we are still within CDC guidelines to ensure the vaccine will still work with no issues,” the press release said. “Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines may be scheduled for administration up to six weeks (42 days) after the first dose.”
Individuals who are scheduled for the stated dates will receive further communication through the email address or phone number provided with their registration. Those scheduled for a February 18 vaccine date are being asked not to call 311 to confirm their appointment, as they will automatically be moved to Monday.

The City also asks that those scheduled for a vaccine appointment at the Alamodome arrive as close to their scheduled appointment as possible. The suggested arrival time is 15 to 20 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment. By keeping the appointment time as close to the scheduled time, it ensures that the vaccine process is efficient and without delay for others.
The testing site located at Cuellar and Ramirez Community Centers will also remain closed on Thursday, February 18. Also, there will be no 6:13 briefing on Wednesday evening, though they may resume on Friday, according to a City spokesperson.
