Tobin Cares, a community volunteer group of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, will host its 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Drive-By Food Drive to benefit the San Antonio Food Bank from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, November 19-20.

Founded in 1980, the San Antonio Food Bank is one of the largest service centers in the state and currently serves 58,000 people throughout 16 counties per week, according to its website.

The food drop off will be available on the curb in front of the Tobin Center located at 100 Auditorium Circle near the Thompson San Antonio. For donors’ convenience and safety, staff members will be curbside to receive donations. As a special thank you, a 2020 Tobin Center Fiesta medal will be given to each supporter while supplies last.

“In these most trying times for many families in the San Antonio community, we felt it was more important than ever to come together to help and support the San Antonio Food Bank,” read a Tobin Center press release.

Those items are peanut butter, breakfast cereal, tuna, beans, rice, macaroni and cheese, chili, canned stews, canned soups, canned luncheon meats, full meals in a can or box, and pop-top food items.
