Local COVID-19 Case Count Rises to 39

On Saturday, the local COVID-19 case count rose to 39. Among these updated numbers, 16 cases are travel-related, five have been through close contact with someone who had been previously diagnosed, nine have been through community transmission and nine are presently under investigation. 

The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District’s lab has administered a total of 293 tests. 258 tests have come back negative and 35 were positive. The remaining four were received from private labs.

62 percent of the total cases are male and 38 percent are female. The highest number of cases continues to be found in the 40 to 49 age group.

The Health Department’s hotline for residents who may have questions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic is 210-207-5779. Their hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
