If you missed last week’s soul-stirring premiere of Il Favorito performed by world-class Italian pianist Leonardo Colafelice, music lovers will have the opportunity to stream it through Tuesday, Feb. 2.

No stranger to the Lone Star State, Colafelice performed at the 2020 Gurwitz International Piano Competition, winning a bronze medal from the judges and the coveted Audience Favorite award.

“San Antonio is a fantastic city and the people are just awesome,” he said during the docu-style program, which offers a glimpse of his daily life. 

Colafelice’s mastery of the piano also extends to his teaching as well. He currently teaches as the principal piano teacher at the Matera Conservatory of Music in Italy, where he first began his own piano studies.

The event was originally presented during DreamWeek 2021.
