WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • The City of San Antonio's Economic Development Department announced Monday that they are seeking public input on the SA: Ready to Work program through Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 4 p.m.
  • In November, San Antonio voters approved the SA: Ready to Work initiative to help residents gain access to workforce training, certificate programs, and college courses

The City of San Antonio’s Economic Development Department announced Monday that it is seeking public input on the SA: Ready to Work program through Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 4 p.m.

In November, San Antonio voters approved the SA: Ready to Work initiative to help residents gain access to workforce training, certificate programs, and college courses (including two and four-year degree programs), which will lead to higher wages and longer-term career pathways in competitive fields. The program will include wraparound services to remove barriers and ensure successes. 

The community input will inform the guiding principles, goals, and objectives of the initiative. 

There are multiple ways to provide commentary. 

The first way is via an online survey in both English and Spanish. The second is through email at workforce@sanantonio.gov with “SA Ready to Work Public Comment” in the subject line.

The third option is by mailing the City of San Antonio Economic Development Department, 100 West Houston Street, Suite 1900, San Antonio, Texas 78209, Attention: SA Ready to Work Program Comment.
