On Thursday, the Thompson San Antonio, a new 162-room lifestyle hotel opened its freshly designed doors in San Antonio’s bustling Arts District. The modern retreat, which soars 20 stories above the city’s celebrated River Walk, features a rooftop restaurant and bar, a spacious pool deck, luxury cabanas, and a full-service 5,000-square-foot spa. 

“We are thrilled to offer our guests a timelessly original experience in San Antonio that marries the energy of the Thompson Hotels brand with the allure of this charismatic Texas destination,” said Ted Knighton, general manager of Thompson San Antonio. “A modern-day interpretation of the River City, Thompson San Antonio offers sophisticated experiences inspired by the rich history and culture of the area.”

Located adjacent to the Thompson San Antonio is Landrace, a new 200-seat restaurant led by James Beard Award finalist and local legend Chef Steve McHugh. Set to shake up the San Antonio culinary scene, Landrace will feature seasonal menus that celebrate regional Texas ingredients and heritage growers.
